Still life and pattern making. Today we were looking at focusing our right hand side of the brain and trying our best to not think about our work to much and making it as unique to us. for pattern making we created a series of patterns which linked up together using different textures and patterns. I used felt tip, pencil, biro, sharpie and ink. For me my patterns seem to vary in softness and sharpness with the texture. we were also looking at still life drawing. I found this interesting because it went against everything i thought about drawing. For me i have always felt i wasn't very good at drawing because i would fuss for ages trying to make my drawings look exactly like what was in front of me. It was so refreshing today when we just had to look straight at our object and draw exactly what we saw without looking at our paper. It wasn't about being perfect but more getting the overall feel for it and developed our own style. im really happy with the overall outcome...
