 Our afternoon session was perfect for me as I hadn't used photoshop for a couple of weeks it was really good to go through the basics again, and also learn some new techniques that will come in handy this semester.  We were making album covers. We first had to pick a portrait of someone we wanted to use. I already had in mind the portrait I wanted to use. I wanted to stick with my aesthetic so i chose an iconic photo of Anna Karina and wanted to create a cool 60s looking new wave album. After i finished i decided to have another go and make a few more in this style of me and my friends just to keep practicing the new techniques i learnt.  first things first I had to make sure i had the right measurements for the album cover. I needed to have 310 width and 310 length. I had to make sure I locked the first layer so I would have two separate layers the background layer and the picture.   Screen printing! what you will need. frame/screen. fabric you want to print on. squeegee  ink in desired colours. Firstly you need to design and then draw a stencil of the design you wish to print onto you fabric. Cut it out and place it on the fabric where you want the design to go. Now pour some ink onto the screen and place it over the stencil which should be placed over your fabric. Find something heavy to place on top of it to keep it from moving once you start printing. Now that you are happy with you design placement pick up your squeegee and slowly drag it over the ink spreading it over your design. Do this several times forwards and backwards and then lift up the screen to reveal your print!

  How i used embroider on my mask! I really wanted to customize my face mask since it looks like we will have to wear them for some more time to come. My face mask originally just had a strawberry print all over it and i thought it would be cute to embroider the strawberries on instead!  I first headed out and found myself some wool in the right colours! i decided to use wool so it would stand out more and give me the look i was going for. i fund some bigger needles so it could take the wool through and before i started i got the wool and pulled it apart so it wouldn't be so thick. Once i had threaded my needle it was time to begin. I looked up which style of stitches i wanted to do and settles on the Back stitch for the main and the French knots for the white seeds of the strawberry.  Back stitch.  How to make a beak book!  What you will need!  1) a piece of paper 2) scissors  3) colouring pens. Step 1 : Take a piece of paper and fold it in half lengthwise so it makes a long, skinny rectangle. Then open the paper back up. Step 2 : Fold the paper in half again width wise so it makes a short, fat rectangle. Step 3: Fold both sides into the centre. Step 4: unfold the paper and mak e a cut along the centre and then fold in half lengthwise again. Step 5: Open up the middle cut and push it together so it will form the pages. Step 6: Add your content!  

Essentials for this task. 1)You will need a book making kit. You can find these fairly cheap online.  2)Regular photocopy paper. 3)Card. 4)A ruler.  5)Pens, pencils, glue and anything else you will need to fill your zine. Firstly you will need to fold in half a piece of card and some paper (as much as you need to make the right amount for your zine). Once you have the card for you front cover and the folded paper to create your pages you will want to put them one on top of the other and grab your ruler and measure down the middle to get the center of the spine and then you want two more either side of the first one.  Once you have punched three holes down the middle of your book you will need to get some string and a needle and start to thread it starting from the inside middle hole! Adding pantone colors to our photoshop library. Step 1)   Once you have selected the colour pallet you want to use from the picture uploaded to https://color.adobe.com/create/image you need to screen shot that and like you would with any image for photoshop upload it.   Step 2) Now that you have your screen shot from the website uploaded to photoshop you can go ahead and click on the eye dropper tool on the left drop down menu. this will allow you to take the colour directly from the picture.  Step 3) With the eyedropper tool you want to hover over the colour that you wish to add. Click on the colour you wish to add and it will appear in the top right hand corner with all the other colours. You will need to click on the little box with the colour that matches and it will take you to the next step.  Step 4)  Now that you have clicked on the colour from the options it will bring up a coloser look of all the colours that could match yours.
